CARLISLE, Pa. - The Dickinson men's soccer team fell to Johns Hopkins despite only allowing one shot on goal in a rematch of last season's Centennial Conference championship game at Miller Memorial Field on Wednesday night.
First half
Johns Hopkins needed just 94 seconds to post the first shot of the half as Brendan Listzwan had a chance knocked away by the defense.
Dickinson's first opportunity of the match came with 7:40 gone when off a corner Josh Dozier lifted one over the goal.
Three minutes later Jason Dixon tested John Ghanem for the first time, but he was up to the task.
The Red and White appeared to have the lead in the 16th minute when Maxim Temple jabbed home a loose ball inside the six-yard box. Unfortunately, the first-year was called offside, negating the marker.
Hopkins found the breakthrough with 33:35 gone when a cross from the right wing by Rohan Aggarwal was stabbed home by Gabriel Pirayou, making it 1-0 at half.
Dickinson (7-7-2, 4-1-2 Centennial) will travel to Westminster, Md., on Saturday to visit the Green Terror of McDaniel. Kickoff is slated for noon.
