Pennsylvania beer festivals to attend this fall

1. Lititz Craft Beer Fest

With more than 180 brews from 75 craft breweries, the 12^th annual Lititz Craft Beer Fest gives you plenty to sample. Pair your pours with live music and a variety of local food trucks. Even better, all proceeds benefit the Lititz AMBUCS and its mission to create mobility and independence for people with disabilities.

2. Oktoberfest at Blue Mountain Resort

Oktoberfest at Blue Mountain Resort returns with Bavarian-style food, a Biergarten, and live German music from Joe Stanky and John Stevens Doubleshot. Test your strength in a stein-hoisting competition or watch the kegs roll. Families can also take a hayride or scenic chairlift ride during this festive fall celebration in the Poconos.

3. Oktoberfest at Reading Liederkranz

Oktoberfest at Reading Liederkranz is an extravaganza featuring classic German favorites, including schnitzels, roast pork, fried Brie, brats, and strudel. This nationally recognized Oktoberfest celebration features eight bars serving up local craft brews, domestic beer, and several German brews including Spaten and Weihenstephan.

4. Ambler Oktoberfest

The free annual Ambler Oktoberfest features more than 90 vendors and 10 food trucks along the streets of Butler Avenue. Enjoy a beer garden and musical performances on two stages. Families can also enjoy rides, restaurant samples, and arts and crafts vendors.

5. Mifflinburg Oktoberfest

Honor Mifflinburg’s rich German heritage at the 21^st annual Mifflinburg Oktoberfest. At this free fall festival, visitors can watch the keg toss and mug lift competitions before trying out new dance moves to live music. Pick up your commemorative Mifflinburg Oktoberfest beer stein for refills of your favorites. Designated drivers receive a free souvenir cup and endless birch beer.

6. Oktoberfest at SteelStacks

The oom-pahs and bratwurst are back. Now in its 16^th year, the free Oktoberfest at SteelStacks features authentic German food and beer, live music, and local artisans. Stroll through Brewers’ Village for German-style Märzens and autumn-inspired pumpkin ales. Don’t miss the popular wiener dog races or the Pennsylvania State Steinholding Championship.

7. 23rd Street Armory Oktoberfest

The 8^th annual 23rd Street Armory Oktoberfest is back, transforming the armory from top to bottom into a scene straight out of the Wies’n in Munich. Hofbräu beer flows into liter glasses while bratwurst and roast chicken keep festivalgoers fueled. Live oompah bands and traditional German dancers take over the floor around the 40-foot centerpiece. Choose from three sessions across two days and dance the night away.

8. Kennett Brewfest

Known as the “Mushroom Capital of the World,” the Kennett Square region produces the majority of the nation’s mushrooms. Beer, however, takes center stage in autumn at the annual Kennett Brewfest. Sample more than 150 beers from over 80 craft breweries while two stages keep the live music going. Food trucks and local restaurant specials round out the experience. Grab your beer-loving besties and reserve a cabana to relax, sip, and celebrate the season.
