HARRISBURG — In a much-needed game, the Harrisburg City Islanders came out firing against the visiting Dayton Dutch Lions. Behind a hat trick from Lucky Mkosana, the Isles ran away with an easy 5-1 victory Wednesday night at Skyline Sports Complex.

With the win, Harrisburg (12-8-1) remains in third place in USL Pro and matches a team record for single-season wins.

Mkosana put Harrisburg on the board early with a goal in the eighth minute, extending his scoring streak to three games. He added two more in the second half to complete the hat trick.

Stephen Basso scored just inside the first half, breaking a 1-1 tie at the time and sending the Islanders into the break with the lead. Jimmy McLaughlin had the final goal for the Isles in the 86th minute.

Harrisburg keeper Nick Noble made four saves.
