The West Shore Chapter Pennsylvania Sports Hall of Fame inducted new members for 2019 class on Saturday.
The inductees were as follows:
Erin (Sober) Gay: A teacher in the West Shore School District and a PIAA basketball official, Gay graduated from West Perry and played basketball there, guiding the Mustangs to the 1995 District 3 title.
Scott Moyer: Moyer played basketball and soccer at Shippensburg University before returning to his alma mater, West Perry, to coach the girls basketball team. During that time, Moyer had 500 victories, 26 appearances in the District 3 tournament, a pair of District 3 titles and 11 Mid-Penn Conference championships.
Steve Shover: Shover, a Camp Hill graduate, played football and baseball for the Lions before going to Shippensburg University to play football. He returned to Camp Hill and spent more than three decades as a football offensive coordinator and head coach, and was the baseball head coach for 27 years.
Andrea (Turo) Teeter: A graduate of Mechanicsburg, Teeter played field hockey, basketball, softball and tennis for the Wildcats before going to Penn State to play softball for two years and manage the team for one. She was the first full-time athletic director hired at Mechanicsburg in 1998 and retired in 2016.
Mary Jane Wertz: A graduate of Newport High School, she played in the schools only female sports at the time: field hockey, basketball and softball. She still owns the Newport basketball scoring record for any athletes with 1,564 points.
