East Pennsboro’s Aaron Angelo started a string of hits during the fourth inning on Tuesday morning.

After a rough start in their first game in the Little League Mid-Atlantic Regional Tournament, East Pennsboro got redemption in a 7-0 shutout of Delaware’s Newark in a consolation game on Tuesday morning.

East Pennsboro got the bats rolling in the top of the fourth, pushing six runs across. Aaron Angelo got the ball rolling, smacking a single to left in the top of the fourth. Angelo, Lucas Martz, Steel Bayer, J.J. Gossard and Logan Collette each scored a run for East Penn, while Easton Comp picked up two.

Pitchers Chase Deibler and reliever Jon Erdossy came up big in the win. Deibler pitched 3.2 innings, allowing only one hit and striking out six. Erdossy pitched two innings of relief, allowed one hit and struck out one.

East Pennsboro will continue their run in the consolation bracket on Wednesday at 1 against New Jersey.
