  • One day after finishing second in the women's heptathlon, Messiah's Taylor Wiederrecht led the 4x400 relay to gold at the Penn Relays on Thursday. Wiederrecht teamed with Boiling Springs grad Leanne Weaver, Esther Seeland and Ellissa Slader to cross in 3:55.37, five seconds ahead of second. Wiederrecht also finished t-16th in the high jump with a 1.50-meter leap.
  • Dickinson also sent athletes to the Penn Relays. The Red Devils 4x400 women's finished fifth (4:06.87), and Isabel Cardi finished 30th (17:09.21 in the women's 5,000. 
  • Carlisle grad JD Hughes and Penn State men's golf head to Flourtown, outside Philadelphia, for this weekend's Big Ten Championships. Hughes tees off at 9:45 a.m. Friday to start the first round.
  • Shippensburg softball was ranked fifth in the second edition of the NCAA Division II Atlantic Region power rankings Wednesday. Also, he Raiders' Friday doubleheader with East Stroudsburg was postponed to Sunday due to Friday's expected rain.
  • SU baseball's doubleheader at Mansfield was also pushed to Sunday.
