  • Messiah's Caleb Puleo is fourth after the first day of the men's decathlon at the MAC Championships on Thursday. The 4x800 men's relay won bronze in 7:47.82, and the men's team is seventh overall after one day. On the women's side, Taylor Wiederrecht has a first-day lead in the women's heptathlon.
  • Jarod Bingaman was named All-MAC Baseball Rookie of the Year, and Northern grad was named First Team. Fellow Messiah teammates Josh Hayner and Sam Stewart earned Honorable Mention.
  • The Falcons baseball team then lost its season finale 9-8 on a walk-off single by Moravian. Colt Price and Ryan Hentschel had two RBIs each in the loss.
  • Shippensburg was knocked out of the PSAC softball championships after a 14-6 loss to West Chester in the consolation quarterfinals. The Raiders now wait to see if the earn an NCAA regional bid. Hannah Marsteller was 3-for-3 with a homer and three RBIs in the losing effort, and Shippensburg High School grad Courtney Coy had an RBI groundout. The loss came after an 11-2 five-inning win over Edinboro. Grace Palmieri smacked a grand slam in the victory.
  • SU women's lacrosse's Valerie Hertz was named to the All-PSAC First Team on Thursday, and teammate Alana Cardaci was named to the Third Team. This is Hertz's third All-PSAC First Team nod since Liz French, who made First Team all four years from 2011-14.
