Cumberland Valley rallied from a first-set loss to beat State College on the road 3-1 on Wednesday night. The Eagles (11-0, 11-0 Commonwealth) won the final three sets 25-23, 25-20, 28-26. Kara Lehman dished out 35 assists, with Sophie Rice the biggest beneficiary with 12 kills. The Eagles, who swept the season series with the Little Lions (10-2, 9-3) won the Mid-Penn Commonwealth with the victory, becoming the second team to win a Mid-Penn division this season.
Aiden Finegan recorded 20 kills and seven blocks in Trinity's 3-2 win over Mechanicsburg in a non-division contest. Noelle Chavey had nine kills and five blocks for the Shamrocks, while Jensen Haas tallied 29 digs and three aces.A previous version of this story incorrectly stated that State College was 9-2 in the division and that CV had not won the title yet. State College has losses against Central Dauphin and the Eagles (twice).
