The seed grants CV a first-round bye when districts begin Thursday. The Eagles get to wait until 7:30 p.m. May 20, when they will host the winner of No. 8 Palmyra (14-1) and No. 9 Chambersburg (11-5).

CV is the only Sentinel-area squad in either 3A or 2A to make the tournament this year. Carlisle (10-8) missed the 14th and final spot in 3A by .01 points in the power rankings formula.
