District 3 Boys Lacrosse

After falling behind by three goals at halftime in their first-round game, the No. 4 Trinity Shamrocks found a way to fight back n the District 3 Class 2A opening round against No. 13 West York, winning 15-14. The Shamrocks weren’t about to let the Bulldogs eliminate them for the third time in four years, getting four goals from Steve Hergenroeder. He added two assists, with aid from a six-point night from Brendan Tribeck (one goal, five assists). Danny Scott added on a hat trick and Jordan Altmeyer, Danny Tare and Payden Masaracchia each added two goals. Trinity will be back in action for the second round on Thursday where it face off against No. 12 Eastern York at COBO Field.
