This week was an eye-opening week for the Trinity Shamrocks. We started the week with a game against Mechanicsburg on Tuesday. We played really strong the entire game and towards the end we were able to sub in a lot of the younger guys. I want to give a big shoutout to Nico Zampogna for scoring his first varsity goal (you’re welcome, Nico).

On Friday we faced a tough Carlisle team. It was raining the entire game and COBO was soaked. The ‘Rocks came out slow, ending the first half down by two. In the second half the defense really played well and our offense kicked into gear. To start the fourth quarter, our offense went off as we closed the game on a 10-1 run. Final score was 21-11. Next up was a late morning game at York Catholic.

After playing a game the night before, we knew the game would not be easy. In the beginning, we played decent only down one (7-6) with seven minutes to go in the first half. From there, York Catholic has their way. They are a strong team and they took advantage of our lack of execution. The final score was 21-8 in favor of York Catholic. We will learn a lot from this game and not let it define us.

We only play once this week against Red Land on Monday, before a nice break over Easter. Afterward, our first game back will be a tough one against Palmyra. We will be rested and I am sure we will show up for that test.
