This week I have three straight home games to end the regular season of my senior year. We play Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, and due to our short rotation it is gonna be a lot of minutes on our starters’ legs.
One of our starters, Anthony Kertulis, is recovering from a sprained ankle, so that hurts us even more. Monday night we play York Tech, a good team that we beat 61-58 in a very tough game. This game is the only the beginning of our week, but it is a MUST win. Due to our recent loss to Middletown, we have to win Monday for even a chance at playoffs.
After that game we play a good team in Camp Hill. They are a very skilled team with a good point guard and a lot of players around him. Camp Hill is currently sitting second in our conference and have a record of 16-3. If we would beat York Tech and Camp Hill, I believe that would put us into playoffs.
Next we play our county rival, Susquenita, in the annual Chuck-A-Duck game. The game is not only a lot of fun, but it is also to support a great cause. I believe for West Perry to have a chance of making playoffs we need to win two of these games.
It would be the first time that West Perry has been to the playoffs in my high school career. Hopefully my season is not over and I am able to write a story next week.
