Coming into this past Friday night, the Mechanicsburg Wildcats were undefeated at home. We knew this game against Cedar Cliff was going to be our first true test on our home turf.
Despite the end score not ending up in our favor, I must say that it was a game to remember. I do not think there has been a game played at such a high caliber, by both teams, on our field in a long, long time. The back and forth nature and amount of big plays throughout the night were truly remarkable.
I mentioned last week that our game against Red Land was unique in many ways. Well, this one was pretty interesting in it’s on right too — our kicker nailed another impressive field goal, this time from 47 yards out, and the fourth quarter featured a late 38 yard pass play to close the gap to one score.

It seems unreal to think that there are only two games left in the regular season. It seems like it all just got started, but here we are about to get set to play Bishop McDevitt on the road in Week 9.
I know as players and fans, we have entered this matchup reluctantly over the past few years, but not this week.
Oh man, our guys are ready to go get win number six!
