In My Words Natalie Sassano

The scoreboard doesn’t show heart and hustle, but we played with a lot of heart and hustle this week.

I am so proud of everyone on our team. Our team consists of several seniors, one junior, several sophomores and a few freshmen. Everyone on the team knows their role and steps up in crucial parts of the game.

Even when team members are on the bench, we are always cheering for the five on the court.

On Thursday we faced Susquehanna Township at home. We knew this would be a challenge for us since they were a tough opponent when we played them at their school. We hustled, rebounded and played as a team to secure the win.

On Friday night we played a well-respected Keystone Division rival, Bishop McDevitt. This game was a major challenge for us because when we played them on their home court, we came up short by three. Our team played hard until the final buzzer. I am so proud of our team’s performance during the entire game. Everyone hustled on both offense and defense, and never gave up.

I have been playing with some of these girls since the third grade and would not want any other teammates and friends to be part of this senior year journey.

This week we will play Mechanicsburg on Tuesday and it will also be our senior night. Later in the week, we face Milton Hershey and Penn Manor.

Let’s Go Colts!
