Nathan McKenna In My Words

As the Trinity Shamrocks returned from the mid-season break, we expected a great outcome from the first game back. Unfortunately, the outcome wasn’t what the team anticipated and the players weren’t focused on what needed to be done, and because of this, it drew another loss for the team.

Coming back from the winter break the Shamrocks were sitting around third place and looking to catch up and be the top place team. But with another unexpected loss Friday, it really shook the team. The team suffered a loss of mental focus that night due to a lack of two leaders on the team — but not just the leaders in scoring, the captains of the team and the ones we look to for answers. Without them, the team wasn’t themselves and the outcome showed the performance.

After a desperate wake up call the team is ready for a chance to get back on top with games against the two top teams next week. This will be a true test to see if the Shamrocks have what it takes to be the top team and win the Rothrock Cup.
