This last week of our regular season was one for the books. We started out with a 3-0 win from Milton Hershey, but what really made the week was beating Boiling Springs on our senior night on Wednesday. After a tough loss from them at the beginning of the season, we knew what we needed to do in order to win and we did just that. We played smart, gave it our all and didn’t stick to the “safer” plays. Our power ranking for districts at this time was No. 16, so it was uncertain if we were going to make it. For all we knew, this could be our last time ever playing together. With this said, we brought all of the skills, teamwork, friendships and drive from the last seven years of our life and let it all out on the court.
We ended up being ranked 15th and we will be playing West York this Saturday in the first round of districts. This is our fifth consecutive year making it to districts as a school and we are more than happy to be making it again this year. We played West York last year, so we know a little bit about them and are planning to put up a fight against them this weekend.

I have enjoyed writing these articles this season and I hope you have enjoyed reading them. This has been a small lens into what Big Spring Volleyball is all about. We not only value skills, but also teamwork, hard work, teammate relationships and dedication to the game.
