Devon Chenot In My Words

This week we had two meets. Tuesday was our meet against Cumberland Valley. We swam some of the events we thought we might swim at Mid-Penn’s. We swam at Cumberland valley, so it was good to swim in a fast pool and got some good times. There were some fast times, but I think it made us all realize that we need to work hard for these last few practices before championship meets begin.

Our other meet was against Central Dauphin East. The meet was good because we got to be back at Dickinson and swim in our home pool. It was a good meet because everyone got to swim events that we do not usually get the chance to swim. It was a great way to end the regular season and begin to prepare for championships.

This week we will be getting ready for some good racing. This Friday and Saturday is the Mid-Penn Conference Meet. Some of our swimmers will go there, while the others will go to the Mid-Penn Polar Plunge the week after. These are both great meets and I know we will have time drops from everyone at these meets. After those meets, we will have a few swimmers move onto districts. There should be a few relays as well.

This is, to me, most exciting time of the high school swimming season and it is always interesting to see all of the time drops. I am looking forward to another great championship season.
