Anthony DeFrank continued his winning ways, as did the entire Trinity team, with narrow Mid-Penn Capital victories Wednesday at West Shore Country Club. The Shamrocks ace took home individual honors with an 82, topping Palmyra's Andrew Alquist by a stroke on East Pennsboro's home course. The Shamrocks, who shot 359 as a team, edged the Cougars (361), Boiling Springs (363) and East Pennsboro (364), among others. The Bubblers' Matt Kunkle took fourth individually with an 85. Trinity (28-2) leads Palmyra (24-6) by four games in the Capital standings.
Northern's Austin Schreffler dominated a Mid-Penn Colonial match at Eagles Crossing, firing a 69 easily take top individual honors. However, Chambersburg (322) beat Northern (331) in the team standings to remain unbeaten (30-0) in league play and five games ahead of the Polar Bears (25-5). West Perry's Ben Smith shot 79 to finish fourth individually, with the three other top five spots belonging to Trojans.
