Notes: The Lions are making their fifth PIAA championship appearance, searching for their fourth gold. The previous four visits (1999, 2001, 2008, 2009) were in the old four-classification Class A bracket. ... The Orioles are making their first championship appearance. District 10 is 0-4 in the state title game all-time. The first championship appearance for the district came in 1999, a 4-2 loss for Linesville against? Camp Hill, the Lions first PIAA crown.

Lions projected lineup: Quinn Buffington, sr., CF/P (.360, 24 runs, 22 RBIs, 4 HRs); Josh Goodyear, sr., P/SS (.341, 27 runs, 23 RBIs, 15 SBs); Luke Newman, sr., 3B (.262, 25 runs, 16 RBIs); Luke Goodyear, so., OF (.325, 24 runs, 13 RBIs); Casey Fellinger, sr., OF (.316, 20 runs, 23 RBIs); Jackson Thompson, fr., C (.351, 9 runs, 21 RBIs); Carey Myers, so., RF/IF (.294, 11 RBIs); Mason Gavlick, jr., 2B/SS (.254, 10 runs); Ben Snyder, so., DH (.143, batting for Connor Bowman, so., 1B).

Projected starting pitcher: Josh Goodyear 5-1 (3 saves), 45.2 IP, 33 H, 16 R, 8 ER, 18 BB, 47 K, 1.23 ERA, 1.12 WHIP.

About the Lions: Coached by Mike Acey (2nd season). After a three-game losing streak to end the regular season, Camp Hill beat Kutztown in the District 3 semifinal, Newport in the district championship and then Northwest, Bellwood-Antis and Schuylkill Haven in the first three rounds of states. Quinn Buffington is bound for East Tennessee State after this season, while Casey Fellinger is heading to Juniata College. If Josh Goodyear doesn’t go the distance, the Lions have a bullpen that has three left (Luke Goodyear is unavailable after tossing 100 pitches Monday): Buffington (2-1, 19.2 IP, 19 H, 18 R, 10 ER, 10 BB, 31 K), Carson Ebel (2-1, 15.2 IP, 11 H, 7 R, 6 ER, 4 BB, 15 K) and Luke Newman (1-1, 16.0 IP, 11 H, 9 R, 2 ER, 8 BB, 16 K).

Orioles projected lineup: Justin Heller, sr., C (.152, 7 runs, 8 RBIs); Tyler Knupp, jr., SS/P (.333, 15 runs, 13 RBIs, 10 SBs); Travis Perry, sr., 3B/SS (.449, 17 runs, 14 RBIs, 11 XBHs); Hunter Bruner, sr., CF (.311, 17 runs); Conner Curran, sr., 1B (.415, 13 runs, 26 RBIs, 6 HRs); Nick Sanner, jr., LF (.164, 7 runs); Scott Perry, jr., P/3B (.370, 7 runs); Ryan Hanna, jr., DH (.188, batting for Koby Winslow, sr., 2B); Tyler Clayton, sr., RF (.333, 15 runs).

Projected starting pitcher: Scott Perry 4-0 (1 save), 25.2 IP, 16 H, 9 R, 6 ER, 8 BB, 25 K, 1.64 ERA, 0.94 WHIP.

About the Orioles: Coached by Bill Wilson. Rocky Grove has won seven straight and nine of 10, including postseason victories over Cochranton (3-0), Mercer (6-3), Union City (10-0), Neshannock (5-1), Southern Huntingdon (7-3) and North Catholic (2-1) to get here. Tyler Clayton made a diving catch for the final out to beat North Catholic, which stranded the potential tying and winning runs. Travis Perry pitched that game, reached 100 pitches and is unavailable in the championship. He will play at Youngstown State next season. There’s a chance Tyler Knupp (1-0, 19 IP, 14 H, 7 R, 3 ER, 6 BB, 19 K) could start on the mound. If not, expect him to relieve if needed. There’s also Conner Curran (2-1, 11 IP, 8 H, 7 R, 2 ER, 6 BB, 13 K).
