  • Tyler Koser singled and scored in the first inning, and that singular run proved enough in Big Spring's 1-0 road win Saturday at West Perry. Both teams recorded five hits in a pitchers' duel. Braden Petty had the winning RBI for the Bulldogs. Zach Garlin tossed six innings with seven strikeouts and two walks for the win, and Luke Michaels got the save. Ronnie Neidigh and Tommy Keene each had two Mustangs hits.
  • Boiling Springs dropped both games in the New Oxford Tournament, a 1-0 opener to Kutztown and a 7-3 decision against the hosts. The Cougars and Bubblers combined for just four hits in the first game. And the Cougars' eight- and nine-hole were responsible for the third-inning run that proved to be the winner. Kyle Swartz fired six innings in a tough-luck loss, fanning seven against a walk and two hits. In the second game, the Bubblers got a double from Charlie White and two runs from Zack VonStein (1-for-3).
