Harrisburg University’s Overwatch team claimed the crown at the Collegiate Esports Championship over the weekend.

Harrisburg, which was the No. 2 seed, began the tournament with a 3-0 sweep over NJIT. Their semifinal match was much closer against No. 1-seeded Maryville, but the Storm came out on top with the 3-2 win. The championship match had Harrisburg facing Utah, which defeated Rutgers and Orange Coast en route to the final. The Storm took the final with a 3-1 win.

San Francisco Shock get revenge in Overwatch League

In a flip of the Stage 1 playoff finals, San Francisco Shock defeated the Vancouver Titans to claim the win in Stage 2 playoffs. The Stage 1 final was a close fought affair, with the Titans clinching the win 4-3. This time, it was the Shock who won with a 4-2 victory.

Both the Shock and Titans entered the playoffs with 7-0 undefeated records at the end of the Stage 2 regular season. Both teams also had little trouble making their way through the playoff brackets, with the Shock winning 3-1 over Shanghai Dragons and 4-0 over Hangzhou Spark. The Titans bowled over Dallas Fuel 3-0 and took down the New York Excelsior 4-1.

Philadelphia Fusion finished outside the playoff cutline, ending Stage 2 with a disappointing 3-4 record to finish tied-11th. Stage 3 will begin June 6.
