Police search for man in stabbing, robbery

Carlisle Police are searching for a Harrisburg man wanted in connection with a stabbing and robbery at Speedway gas station Thursday morning.

James Allen Brown Jr., 54, of Harrisburg, is wanted on charges of aggravated assault, robbery, possession of instruments of crime and simple assault in connection with an incident at the gas station in the 600 block of East High Street in Carlisle.

Police said officers responded to Speedway about 5:45 a.m. Thursday and found an employee who had been stabbed. The employee was treated for “numerous wounds” but was later released from the hospital.

Carlisle Police were assisted at the scene by the Pennsylvania State Police Forensic Unit, which collected and processed evidence from the scene. Through an investigation, they were able to identify Brown as the suspect in the case.

Police are still looking for Brown and ask that anyone with information regarding his whereabouts contact them at 717-243-5252.
