As we near the Nov. 5 election, I urge readers to consider two incredible candidates for Cumberland County Commissioner: Michael Fedor and Jean Foschi.
A lifelong resident of Cumberland County I have fished the Yellow Breeches and felt the crisp morning air on South Mountain. I am proud to call this area my home.
Now living in Lemoyne, I cherish the diversity this county provides. Uniquely offered are rural, suburban and urban communities that contribute immensely to what makes Cumberland County a destination for businesses, residents, and visitors.
However, it will take strong leadership and creative minds to harness these assets in a way that will preserve them for generations to come. As commissioners, I strongly believe Fedor and Foschi will deliver that for us.
Fedor and Foschi are committed to acting on the urgent needs of our county. Both have made it a focal point to improve infrastructure along the I-81 corridor and increase our county’s access to state and federal resources. Shockingly, Cumberland County ranks 64th out of 67 Pennsylvania counties in regaining state tax dollars back to our communities. For every $1 we pay in state taxes we receive a fraction in return, of 57¢.
Cumberland County deserves dedicated and innovative leaders like Michael Fedor and Jean Foschi who can tackle the issues facing our county.
