Dear Editor:

Another school shooting and still we do nothing to protect our children. I am asking Gov. Wolf to immediately place a state police officer in each school in the Commonwealth.

Our children need to know we are doing everything we can to protect them. I realize the number of officers needed and the cost are an issue, but these are not problems that cannot be overcome. The average time one of these shootings last is six minutes. Waiting for law enforcement to arrive is too late. We need someone in each school that will be able to react immediately.

Please, these children are our future, we must make our schools a place for learning, making friends, being involved in activities, not a place where our children have to worry about being the next school on the evening news.
