Dear Editor:

Given the crisis over the Saudi leadership ordering the execution of those opposed to Saudi Royally, it is time for our current and all future presidents to show there is no financial connection between their actions in office and activities after they leave office. I am sure the current and any future administration will have no problem with the following proposal.

To show all citizens of the United States of America that our president is acting in the best interest of the citizens of the United States of America Congress should pass and the President should sign a law stating that any President or any member of the family of the President of the United States who by birth or marriage is a member of the President’s immediate family and over the age of 18 years at any time during the president’s term shall not engage in any financial activity with any foreign nation for 25 years from the last date of the term of the president to whom they are related. In this case “family” shall consists of biological and adopted children and their spouses, grand-children and their spouses, great grand-children and their spouses, and all adopted children born before the last date in office of the related president in question or his/her spouse.

Anyone guilty of violating this law should be found guilty of the corruption and all profits from all such activities shall be forfeit to the federal government as determined by a joint committee of the House, evenly representing all political parties. Additionally, guilty individuals shall be subject to fines of 500 percent of profits as determined by the above committee and shall serve no less than 10 and no more than 20 years in a federal prison for their crime.

No crime, no foul. This should be an easy law.
