On Saturday, July 21, the 32nd Bob Baish Golf Memorial was held at the Cumberland Golf Course.
Bob, a local businessman, was the owner of Bob Baish Body Shop in Carlisle. What a better way to honor and remember Bob than by this golf tournament to support the local Hospice. A committee made up of Bill Farner, Roger Kelly, Ken Wiser, and family have been able to support much needed causes, such as the Heart and Cancer organizations, and the Newville Little League, where Bob was president for many years.
The past few years donations were given to the local Hospice. With all the support of all our loyal sponsors and hard work of all the volunteers — Jim Baish, Richard Baish, and Jane Baish Ewing — we were again able to donate $5,000 to the Central Hospice of Pennsylvania to benefit many needed families in their father's name.
The Baish family hopes this fun golf tournament is enjoyed by the 144 golfers and thank them, along with the committee and family volunteers, for helping to make this tradition continue to support such a worthy cause in Bob's honor.
