How you vote on May 21 is a personal decision, but I wanted to share why I am supporting Democrat Michael Fedor for Cumberland County Commissioner.
Over the past decade, Michael has made it his mission to put his time and talent to work for our community. He is a leader of young boys and girls in the Cubs Scouts in the Boy Scouts of America. He was a problem solver and leader on a local borough council (boot camp for problem solving in my book), served our Commonwealth as an official in the PA State Treasury, and led the Cumberland County Democratic Party to help win local offices for Democratic candidates.
He has taken the time to develop specific plans to address the complex array of issues Cumberland County government must be prepared to tackle in the decade ahead, including a plan for agricultural investments, supporting a local farm-to-table movement, along with targeted ideas for more farmland preservation. He has a plan for reforming local procurement addressing issues like improved accountability, open government, and saving taxpayer dollars. And, as if that weren’t enough, he even has a plan to get more of our state tax dollars reinvested back in our community to make critical infrastructure investments like improving I-81.
Carlisle and the Carlisle Region are part of the fastest growing county in Pennsylvania, and I need a forward-facing leader prepared to tackle the tough issues head on. That is why I am voting for Michael Fedor on May 21.
