Direct Support Professionals Recognition Week has been proclaimed in Pennsylvania by Gov. Tom Wolf to be celebrated Sept. 11-17, 2016.
Across the United States, the week will be used to show appreciation to thousands of direct-support professionals who are the backbone of each organization that supports individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities and autism.
At The Arc of Cumberland & Perry Counties, we are proud of our dedicated and caring workforce that goes beyond the call of duty, time and time again.

As our direct-support professionals work timelessly to help persons with disabilities achieve their life goals, let us remember that the need for quality personnel continues to grow. Each and every employee at our agency makes a real difference in the lives of individuals and, often, their families. We look for adequate funding to retain and recruit excellent direct-support professionals to carry on our vital work, which is life changing and rewarding.
