These places get the most snow during spring
Warm a cup of cocoa, bundle up and see which U.S. cities get the most snowfall through spring. And if you find your hometown is on this list, just stay warm and remember: Only a few more months remain until you can escape winter's cold grip for good (until next year, of course).

Breathe a sigh of relief: Spring is coming, so it's almost time to pack up your winter coats, put away the space heaters and prepare to watch the snow melt. That's true for most cities, except for those on this list. No matter what Punxsutawney Phil sees when he pokes his head up out of the ground, these 50 U.S. cities often get snow well into spring.
WeatherDB, a weather data site by Graphiq, used data from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration to compile this list of American cities that have historically received the most snowfall in the spring (for our purposes, "spring" is defined as running from March through May). The cities are ordered by the amount of snow (in inches) they typically receive from March to May, with the city collecting the most springtime snow taking the No. 1 spot. On average, the locale that tops our chart amasses 182 inches of snow through the spring.

Note: Snowfall averages include data from 1981 to 2010. When ties occur, cities are ranked by their average annual snowfall.
