As of 10:26 p.m., the National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm warning was in effect until 11 p.m. in northeastern Cumberland County and central Perry County.

The Weather Service reported that at 10:46, a severe thunderstorm was located over Carlisle with 60 mph gusts and penny size hail. It was moving southeast at 40 mph. Locations impacted by the storm could include Carlisle, Lower Allen Township, Mechanicsburg, Camp Hill, New Cumberland, Enola, Lemoyne, Boiling Springs and Wormleysburg.

Hazards include 60 mph wind gusts and hail.

Also, as of 9:20 p.m., the National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm watch until midnight. Areas affected by the watch include Cumberland, Adams, Dauphin, Franklin, Perry and York counties.
