SHIPPENSBURG TWP. — The Rotary Club of Shippensburg will host its semi-annual Community Disc Golf Tournament from 3:30 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the Shippensburg Township Park, 304 Britton Road.

Registration opens at 3:30 p.m., and play starts at 4 p.m. at the nine-hole Papa Jack’s Disc Golf Course.

The free, just-for-fun tournament is sponsored by Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, Shippensburg Pizza Hut/Wing Street and Shippensburg Rita’s. All skill levels are invited to play, and newcomers to the sport will be able to purchase golf discs at the event.

Teams of two are required, but those without teammates can pair up after registration.

The tournament is planned for two rounds, with the first nine holes scoring the best toss between teammates, and the second nine scoring alternate tosses between teammates. There will be a cash prize of $100 awarded to the top-scoring team, in addition to prizes for distance and accuracy contests.

Players are encouraged to pre-register by sending their names and team information to contact@shippensburgrotary.org.
