PennDOT added stop signs this week to Claremont Road at its intersection with Post Road in North Middleton Township.
The two roads meet at a T-intersection at the end of Post Road. There already was a stop sign on Post Road, but there are now stop signs in both the east and west directions on Claremont Road, PennDOT announced Wednesday.

Approaching motorists will be warned of the new signs for the next two months, according to PennDOT. Message boards will announce the change, there will be flashing red lights on the stop signs for 60 days, and “Stop Ahead” signs with flashing amber lights will be in place for 30 days.
Claremont Road becomes East North Street just to the west of Post Road, carrying westbound motorists into Carlisle.
