50 Years Ago

Carlisle police officer Irwin Fanus was injured the evening of April 8 when he was struck by a flying brick during a disturbance in town. Police arrested nine people on a charge of disorderly conduct. Two fires were reported that were believed to be arson. All police vehicles have been damaged and two other officers were hit by flying objects.
