Carlisle Borough Police Chief Frank Giordano denied claims that officer Irwin Fanus threw a brick during a civil disturbance on West Penn Street on April 8. During a meeting Thursday, a black woman accused Fanus of throwing a brick through a window, injuring a 14-year-old girl. But the chief said Fanus himself was injured by a brick and was in no condition to do the deed.
