A weekly schedule of events tied to history:
• Camp Michaux Update — Wednesday, Feb. 13 from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. at the Cumberland County Historical Society, 21 N. Pitt St., Carlisle
Local historian David Smith will present a talk on the latest research findings to emerge from the Camp Michaux historic site in Cooke Township.
• New Exhibit at Mechanicsburg Museum Association — Opens Saturday, Feb. 16 at the Freight Station Museum, 3 W. Allen St. Exhibit runs through May 18. Museum hours are noon to 3 p.m. Saturday. Admission is free.

Exhibit “Threads That Held Our Town Together” focuses on clothing, covers and other fabric products created or used in Mechanicsburg.
• Panel discussion “Reconnecting the Histories of Our Community” is scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 19, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Carlisle YWCA, 301 G Street.
Moderator Lynn Johnson (a Dickinson College professor) along with panelists Scott LaMar (WITF), Brenda Barrett (Hallowed Grounds Project), Richard Utley (Utley Associates) and Carmen James (Mt. Tabor Preservation Project) will explore how we remember, record and tell the story of our community and the ways stories can be used to strengthen a community and reconcile past narratives.
