DOH: 83 new cases of COVID-19 out of 153 total test results for Cumberland County Tuesday

The state Department of Health on Tuesday reported that there were 83 new cases of COVID-19 and six new deaths.

Tuesday's report for Cumberland County included only 153 total test results, a low number for a county that typically has seen 350-500 test results a day over the last couple months. Comparing just the number of negative tests (70) and confirmed positive tests (66) Tuesday, the county saw about 49% of its tests come back positive.

The county's seven-day average of cases sits at 166.14 and its 14-day per capita rate sits at 775.94 as its total case count sits at 12,081 for the pandemic with 352 deaths.

As of Tuesday's data, the Health Department says 3,982 partial vaccines have been administered in Cumberland County, with 81 full vaccines (both doses) administered.

There were 155 patients hospitalized with COVID-19 in the county in Tuesday's report with 25 in intensive care units, and 25 on ventilators.

In the southcentral region for Tuesday, York County had 246 new cases and 15 additional deaths, Franklin County 145 new cases and Dauphin County 131 new cases.

The Health Department on Tuesday reported 7,275 new cases of COVID-19 for the state in addition to 227 new deaths.
