Traffic through the intersection of High and West streets in Carlisle was restricted starting around 4 p.m. Friday after a car struck a Dickinson College student on a bicycle.

Carlisle Police Chief Taro Landis said the cyclist was taken to the hospital after being struck while going through the intersection, but did not yet have details on the extent of the injuries. The driver of the car stayed at the scene.

Dickinson Public Safety Officer Joseph Riddle confirmed the cyclist was a student but had no further information.
