Cumberland County commissioners Monday announced they have named Florence Ford as the county’s deputy chief clerk.
Ford brings more than 15 years of municipal management experience to the position. She was the former borough manager in Gettysburg and former township manager of Cumberland Township in Adams County. Most recently, she worked as project finance specialist for Gannett Fleming.
“I am very proud to be able to serve the citizens of Cumberland County,” Ford said in a news release. “I changed career paths and went back to school so I could work in government.”
Ford will assist Chief Clerk Sandy Moyle with managing the county’s day-to-day operations. Moyle was promoted from deputy chief clerk to chief clerk in October.
