West Shore Regional Police joins Crimewatch Network

West Shore Regional Police Department Chief Michael Hope Thursday said his department has joined the Crimewatch Network, which he said will allow the department to align with other police agencies in the area.

Hope said the goal was to align the department’s communication strategy with that of surrounding police agencies. To do so, the department will have a new website on which it will report crimes.

The department will maintain its website at, and those registered for emails will still receive notifications and news from the department in their email inboxes.

In the next two days, those registered with the department will receive an emailed invitation from Crimewatch to join the department’s notifications.

The Cumberland County Crimewatch network already includes reports from police departments in Carlisle Borough, Shippensburg Borough and East Pennsboro Township. For more information, go to
