U.S. Marshal Martin J. Pane announced Wednesday the arrest of sex assault suspect Ramon Luis Hernandez, 39, formerly of Carlisle.
In September, State Police at Carlisle investigated alleged sexual assaults committed against a minor. As a result of that investigation, state police obtained an arrest warrant charging Hernandez with indecent assault upon a person less than 13 years of age and lesser offenses on Oct. 4, according to the news release.
State police learned that Hernandez fled to Florida and the U.S. Marshals Service Fugitive Task Force was asked to apprehend him.
About 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, deputy marshals and task force officers from the Orlando office of the USMS arrested Herandez without incident in the 600 block of Willowood Court, Altamonte Springs, Seminole County, Florida, according to the news release.
Marshals turned Hernandez over to Seminole County authorities pending extradition to Pennsylvania.
