In less than three hours, Pennsylvania State Police caught 60 motorists speeding along Interstate 81 in South Middleton Township Monday.
State Police at Carlisle conducted a speed enforcement detail from 6:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. Monday along I-81 in the 55 mph zone in South Middleton Township.
A total of 60 drivers were stopped, State Police said.
Twelve drivers who were cited were traveling in excess of 80 mph, and one driver was cited for doing 100 mph in the 55 mph zone, according to police.
One driver who was stopped was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia, police said.
Police said speed enforcement details will continue throughout the summer.
