South Middleton Township Thursday reported that it had canceled activities at one of its parks after officials received word of a possible threat against a youth participating in the South Middleton Football Association program.
The township said on Facebook that there was a bullying accusation and threat of bodily harm to a youth while at Spring Meadows Park Wednesday afternoon.
The township said that in the interest of safety, all athletic events at the park were immediately canceled.
State Police conducted an investigation, and it was determined that the threat could not be substantiated, according to the township.
All park activities reopened Thursday.
“We again wish to thank our youth sports organizations and the State Police for their quick assistance on this matter,” the township posted on Facebook.
