- Three people were injured in a two-vehicle crash at 10:39 p.m. Sept. 3 in North Newton Township. E. Harmon Hawbaker, 79, of Chambersburg, was driving a 2006 Dodge Ram 1500 north on Springfield Road and did not stop at the stop sign at Oakville Road, police said. This caused his Ram to be hit by a 2002 Ford F250 driven by Matthew J. Nori, 38, of Carlisle. Hawbaker and his passenger, Joyce M. Hawbaker, 76, of Chambersburg, were injured and taken to Geisinger Holy Spirit Hospital, police said. Nori suffered minor injuries and declined transportation to a hospital, police said. Both vehicles had to be towed from the scene.
- A hit-and-run crash occurred at 12:39 p.m. Aug. 27 in Monroe Township, police said Tuesday. An unknown vehicle hit and damaged a wooden mailbox post in the 1500 block of Williams Grove Road. The crash also caused minor damage to the rear of the vehicle.
