Upper Allen Township Police (717-795-2445)

  • Scott Kirk Lewis, 48, of Mechanicsburg, was charged with terroristic threats, recklessly endangering another person, and simple assault after a Sept. 4 incident. Police said they were dispatched to the 600 block of Park Ridge Drive at 11:19 p.m. for a domestic disturbance involving a handgun. Police determined that Lewis had thrown a large, metal ornament at someone, shoved that person to the ground, and later pointed a loaded handgun at that person’s head. He was arraigned and confined to Cumberland County Prison, but posted $9,000 monetary bail.
  • Two people were injured in a one-vehicle crash at 6:18 p.m. Sept. 2, police said. Wendi Caston, 48, of Lewisberry, was driving on a slick area of an unnamed roadway, hit an embankment and rolled over, police said. Caston and a passenger were taken to Geisinger Holy Spirit Hospital for unspecified injuries. The Upper Allen Township Fire Department assisted at the scene.

State Police at Carlisle (717-249-2121)

  • Jamie Greene Caradine, 48, of Carlisle, was charged with two counts of aggravated assault following a Sept. 4 incident. Police said they were called at 7:52 p.m. to the first block of Liberty Court in South Middleton Township for a report of a man stabbed by his step-daughter. Caradine allegedly stabbed the man in the left shoulder with a kitchen knife, and the man was taken to Geisinger Holy Spirit Hospital. The incident stemmed from an argument over the possession of vehicle keys, police said. Caradine fled but was apprehended without incident, police said. She was arraigned and confined to Cumberland County Prison, but posted $5,000 monetary bail.
