Upper Allen Township Police (717-795-2445)

  • Police are looking for a maroon/burgundy Pontiac Aztek that struck a sign at the intersection of Gettysburg Pike and Cumberland Parkway at 4:05 p.m. March 9. Police said the sign was damaged to the point of being completely knocked to the ground. The driver of the vehicle fled the scene, driving south on Route 15. The vehicle would have been manufactured between 2001 and 2005.

State Police at Carlisle (717-249-2121)

  • Police said the driver of a tractor-trailer may be unaware he or she was involved in a crash on Interstate 81 south, Penn Township, at 8:42 a.m. Feb. 20. Police reported on March 10 that Nijaz Becirovic, 42, of Carlisle, was driving a 2018 Nissan Sprinter van when he lost control of the vehicle due to heavy snow, struck the left rear tandem of another vehicle and came to rest in the median. Becirovic, who was not injured, said he does not believe the other driver ever noticed the crash.
  • Keys to a Ford Explorer were stolen from Walnut Bottom Road, South Middleton Township, sometime before 11:30 a.m. March 4.
