Upper Allen Township Police (717-795-2445)

A pedestrian was struck in a two-vehicle crash in the first block of Cumberland Parkway at 6:03 p.m. Dec. 31. Police said Keren Moore, 21, of Mechanicsburg, backed up her vehicle into the vehicle of April Hancher, 38, of Mechanicsburg. In the process, the crash momentarily pinned a pedestrian, Evan Kloss, 21, of Mechanicsburg. Kloss suffered what police described as minor injuries.

State Police at Carlisle (717-249-2121)

Between 5:45 a.m. and 6:20 a.m. Nov. 2, a jacket containing a cellphone and truck keys was stolen from an unsecured public coat hook in the first block of Walnut Bottom Road in Shippensburg Township.

Lawn and garden equipment was stolen from an unlocked garage in the first block of Bulls Head Road in North Newton Township between 2 p.m. Dec. 22 and 12 p.m. Dec. 24.

State Police at Newport (717-567-3110)

Rikki Tyler Strauss, 27, of Palm Bay, Florida, was charged with misdemeanor possession of a small amount of marijuana following a traffic stop on Route 11 north in Buffalo Township around 10 a.m. Dec. 24.

Alisha Settles, 28, of New Bloomfield, was injured after she traveled off Spring Road in Carroll Township while driving a 2004 Buick CXL around 9:40 p.m. Dec. 30 and struck a mailbox and a “no parking” sign.

Around 11:40 a.m. Dec. 17, Michael Derr, 18, of Mechanicsburg, and Lisa McDowell, 52, of Marysville, were injured when a vehicle driven by Erik McDowell, 48, of Marysville, slid into opposing traffic while taking a turn on Lambs Gap Road in Rye Township and was hit by Derr’s vehicle. Lisa McDowell was a passenger in Erik McDowell’s vehicle.

A 17-year-old Mechanicsburg boy was injured when his 2009 Kia Rondo traveled off the road on Montour Road in Tyrone Township, struck a PennDOT sign and struck a concrete porch around 12:40 p.m. Dec. 29.
