- Michael Phillips, 42, of Carlisle, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, simple assault and harassment after a domestic incident in the 100 block of East North Street about 7 a.m. Aug. 6. Police said Phillips had injured a woman during an argument. When he was searched upon being taken into custody, police said they found him to be in possession of a used and uncapped hypodermic needle. He was arraigned, and he later posted $10,000 cash bail.

- Nathaniel B. Horne, 22, of McClure, Pennsylvania, was charged with a small amount of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia after a traffic stop in the 1500 block of Harrisburg Pike on Aug. 6. Police said officers detected an odor from the vehicle, and a search revealed smoking paraphernalia and a small amount of marijuana.

- One person was taken to Geisinger Holy Spirit Hospital after a crash on Williams Grove Road at West Lisburn Road in Monroe Township at 1 p.m. Aug. 4. Police said Bradford Ginter, 64, of Dillsburg, was driving a 1998 Dodge Ram 1500 when he failed to notice a 2004 GM Canyon stopped for a steady red light at the intersection, and rear-ended the vehicle. Ginter was uninjured, but the other driver, John Kotula, 25, of East Berlin, suffered suspected minor injuries and was transported to the hospital by West Shore EMS. Ginter was cited with following too closely.
