State Police at Carlisle arrested a Mount Holly Springs woman who they said assaulted two state troopers responding to a disturbance at UPMC Pinnacle Carlisle hospital in South Middleton Township around 7:19 a.m. Sept. 1.

Police say the troopers saw Rachel Lander, 29, yell at hospital staff and punch a paper towel dispenser during the incident at the hospital on Alexander Spring Road.

Lander threw a glove at a trooper as he approached her and then ran toward him swinging her arms in an attempt to strike him, police say.

The trooper was able to gain control of Lander and place her under arrest.

Police say Lander then charged a different trooper while handcuffed, kicking the man in the left leg. During her transport to Cumberland County Prison, Lander allegedly kicked the first trooper in the right hand and threatened to try and kill him, police say.

She was turned over to prison staff for processing and arraignment.
