State Police at Carlisle said three teenagers were arrested for firing flares into the air near Carlisle Airport Jan. 3.

Police said the boys shot flares into the air at the Carlisle Airport near Robin Drive and South Spring Garden Street in South Middleton Township around 4:15 p.m. on Jan. 3. Two 17-year-olds and a 14-year-old face charges of causing or risking a catastrophe for the incident.

Two of the juveniles also face retail theft charges.

Police said they stole two flare launchers and two packs of flares from the Carlisle Walmart.
