West Shore Regional Police say they have arrested a man accused of firing a gun in the hallway of a hotel in Wormleysburg Saturday.

Kenyatta Gilmore, 21, of New York City, was charged with felony prohibited possession of a firearm and discharging firearm into occupied structure, as well as misdemeanor recklessly endangering another person, criminal mischief, possession of a small amount of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia after an incident at Rodeway Inn in the 800 block of North Front Street Saturday.

Police who responded to a report of shots fired said they determined Gilmore had exited a hotel room and fired a firearm in the common hallway. Police said Gilmore is not a person who is allowed to possess a firearm, and he was also in possession of suspected marijuana and paraphernalia.

He was taken into custody without incident and remains in Cumberland County Prison on $30,000 cash bail. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for April 24.
